India is marching into its 62 nd year of sovereignty. To commemorate the achievements and the sacrifices towards it, we the India Students Association have organized a celebration. The association urges you to embrace the spirit of India and cordially invites you to join us in the celebrations.

Vedic Math- Lecture and Workshop held on September 22, 2007

India Student Association (ISA) along with Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh presented a Lecture and Workshop on Vedic Mathematics. Professor Sree N. Shreenath, who is the Director of Vedic Math Academy and a faculty at Case Western Reserve University, Cleavland, Ohio, presented this workshop.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrated on September 15,2007

ISA celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi on the 15 September ,2007.This event was celebrated for 10 consecutive days. Everyday during the evening Aarti was performed. We thank everyone who helped in the Prasadam preparations. We thank each one of you who helped in the decoration, organization and making the program a success.

DV Kiran Kumar, Planning Engineering student says, Getting in to America was more luck than judgment I did not come with expectations. But after coming here, my perspective changed. When one has facilities to learn, chances to excel and fun places to enjoy, definitely will be filled with lots of aspirations�.

Speaking about the American culture, Aravinth, graduate student who arrived this Fall, It�s wonderful to see a stranger wishing �Hi� on the walk way. I like that

Though not a Hip-hop city, Lincoln is a good place to live-in for students. Lincoln, a small community with good transit services and affordable cost of living. Top of all, students can take on-campus jobs if they don�t have assistantships, feels an aspiring Design Engineer, Shilpa Awasthi.

Indian community in UNL is known for the academic research. In the words of Ved Vyas, academic environment is very congenial, teachers give us the gist, rest we have to work. I am glad to be part of this school.

Ratan Paul, a Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering student puts, UNL has ace researchers. Dr. Saraf and his students Vikas and Maheshwari did outstanding and cutting edge research. It makes me proud when I tell about them to my friends back in India�.

UNL reciprocates the contribution by Indian community, by recognizing the talent and providing opportunities. Large number of students coming to this school speaks louder than words says ISAs International Affairs coordinator, Sunanda Kumaraguru.

While expressing the ISAs initiation in providing initial accommodation and orientation, Uday Verma, says, We are indebted to ISA for the pains it took in making arrangements for us.

Organizing cultural events, freshers party, celebrating Ganesh festival makes us feel at home. Kudos ISA praises Apoorva Pandya.

Teja phanidhar, a Computer Science student feels that, UNL has good academic infrastructure. Course work really equips us with the skill-set to embark on the careers.
